My heat went out at 330 am this morning and I have a newborn in the house (1 month old). The board flashes 1 time every few secs. The blower is working. filter was dirty.

edit. 2 hoses on pressure switch. I blew into second hose a switch clicked bt still no heat.

Thanks in advance

For future reference , most pressure switches on furnaces sense negative pressure. You have to suck on the tube to get the diapham to move and the switch to make.

The draft inducer motor creates a suction or negative pressure as AC brought out. By the way: most times that proving switch is not gonna be the problem. Their could be cobwebs or objects in the hose from the draft motor that can cause problems though. Glad you cold get er done!

I have never seen a draft inducer pressure switch fail , EVER.

Granted , I live in a place that has maybe one month of what might be considered "kinda cold" weather to northeners .

I have thought a failed pressure switch was the problem many times, but It always turns out to be something else like GIANT Wasp nest blocking flue , rusted out sensing pipe , rusted out inducer wheel, flaky circuit board , ect.)blush.gif
