GSS25WGTGBB SXS water filter problem

AmTec Services

Recommended Posts

Hey all;

Got a GE SXS with filter problems. The water to the filter works fine, good flow. The filter is new. But no water out of the filter. Seems the lttle stopper/ water cut off at the filter fitting is not being pushed in by the filter, causing no flow. Is this common? Can the assembly be replaced? Or is there another way?

..Thanks to all!

Well, I finally got this one done. Had to replace the assembly that Reg posted. Went well, not hard at all! Special thanks to the Samuai for the posts on water tube freeze ups on icemakers. Since this filter caused low /no flow, the water tube was a block of ice! Got that cleared ( If not for the learnin from the masters it would have been a recall!) and unit is back on line!

...............Thanks to all!
