Junk advice

I was rightly disciplined by senior masters for contemplating spending many dollars in this dishonorable economic climate for learning appliances. Where in my area (rural northeast Georgia) do I go to find "junk appliances"?

I've went to my local dump, some dumps are more helpful then others. I have picked up appliances going to the dump(front yards). I have placed a free add , in the local shopper.com, to pick up your broken_________ appliance ( I was looking for front loaders). Tell friends you are looking for used/junk appliances. At some point you will be swiming in junk.

Some of the appliances will be very nice, needing little or no repair, and a good cleaning. Some I have torn down for parts. Enjoy!

Keep in mind the pile of scrap your going to be left with. It adds up fast. Also keep in mind that it's not a good idea to put used parts in a customers machine unless it's mutually agreed upon.

Very True.Comunication and honesty is required.

I use them for trouble shooting, and getting out of a jam (metal fasteners, plastic peices). No local parts store, requires you to solve a problem of no fast parts service. If I have to order a needed part, I usaully order two( if its not too high).

I still have allot to learn. My goal is to get to a point, that I have most all needed parts to do 75%(90%) work with one trip. And no junk appliances.
