Unit was in storage for more than a year. Compressor not working. Unit has an inverter according to parts diagram instead of normal start and overload. Have not encountered one of these before. Any suggestions how to determine if it is inverter problem or bad compressor?

could also be a bad mother board. I dont have my info infront of me but i believe theres a red wire going into the inverter thats 120V...just make sure that you have 120V coming from the mother board into the inverter. if so the mother board is good. Ohm the compressor terminals should all be about 10 ohms. if you have 10 ohms do and amp test on the line wire. if you dont have any amps and you have 120V to the inverter then the inverter is bad.
