What's a good quiet window A/C unit? Freidrich?

I know you used to be able to get a 6000 BTU window unit that was quiet and had an outside air vent (so you didn't have to decide between having a fan and an a/c unit). Panasonic used to make a good one. Now I look at reviews and most of the units seem to be noisy, have no outside air vent, and Panasonic units seem to be gone. Is the Friedrich X-star line any good?

None of them are that great anymore. I recommend the Whirlpools. Stay away from any other brands.
