I've got a KM range with a bad element, I think. The customer complained the bake unit wasn't heating, which I verified as true. Turned off the power, pulled the element, taped in my volt meter leads, and turned back on the breaker. After setting the bake temp and starting, my volt meter registered "240"-ish. I've ordered a replacement unit, but I do also have one reservation to what my five senses tell me. The old bake element ohms 9.6; without a tech sheet, I don't know what significance that measurement holds.

1) all voltage measurements should be taken with devices connected, unless otherwise directed.

2) Bake Element is OK (if it was bad, it would read "open" . . . infinity)

If Bake doesn't work, but Broil does, sounds like a bad Controller
