New time you got to post in these Appliantology forums, you'll notice a spiffy new, yellow APP button. This makes it super easy and slick to include parts links in your posts without ever having to leave Appliantology! It'll even automagically include the part photo and any related videos.

To include parts links and images using the new APP button in the post editor window:

Click on the "Special BBCode icon" which bring up the Special BBCode window. In the content you can enter Appliance Parts Pros "AP" numbers, Manufacturer part mumbers, Model numbers or keywords

Examples:

[app]AP3138838[/app]
[app]285753a[/app]
[app]LSQ8520JQ0[/app]
[app]oven igniter[/app]

Alternatively the AP number, part number, model or keyword can be entered directly in to the post using

[app]part#here[/app]

directly in the post:

Okay, testing out the video embed feature using a mere click of the APP button in the editor toolbar. Testing with the drive coupler on a Whirlpool D/D washer, p/n 285753a. I paste the part number in the post, double click to highlight it, then click the APP button in the editor toolbar to postify that sumbeech like ahso:

Part number: 285753a

Part number: 285753a

How'd I do?

I think I got. If I can only remember it.

You got it!

Just remember that with AppliancePartsPros, the links need to be "affiliatized" with a bunch of "linksynergy" code (that's part of what the yellow APP button in the editor window does) before it can be tracked and we get credit for the purchase.

With RepairClinic links, OTOH, they can be "nekked"-- just copy and paste the link from RC into the topic and they can track it like that. :dude:
