KM Stove Temp Issue

I have a KM Stove M#665.75012101 with a irregular temp. The customer states that the temp set with the time option for say 350 will never get up there. When the customer selects bake only they get a PF reading. Several other service techs has abused this unit with no resolution. A gas valve and spark board was replaced. I checked resistance to the Temp sensor and (with the oven already running for several hours by the cust) the reading was 1300 ohms. I check i the ERC board and that seems fine. I got a voltage reading to and from both boards and a DV voltage reading from the J1 side of the spark board. With dam near everything replaced by other service techs. The only thing left is the ERC and Temp Sensor, any ideas?????????:yikes::yikes::yikes:

My first suspicion in gas ranges with complaints of insufficient temperature is the ignitor. What can happen is that the ignitor is slow to ignite, but eventually does, and the oven may initially get up to temp and satisfy the thermostat. But when it cools down and the thermostat calls for heat, the burner is slow to fire resulting in low temp in the oven cavity.

Of course, this is easy to test for by measuring the current draw through the ignitor and by monitoring the burner during a heat cycle with the oven set at 350F.

If the burner is firing correctly and the current draw is within specifications, then replace both the ERC and the sensor as a set.

This is a direct spark igniter would I still be able to check resistance and current draw off that igniter? I assumed that if the burner was ignited that that igniter was ok.:?

Sorry, I overlooked the critical distinction that this is DSI range. That invalidates most of what I said previously. Oh well, shit happens. :grunt:

Whirlpool (the range manufacturer, in case you didn't already know that) has a tech memo out on this, I'll find it and post it here.
