Carrier 58gs075-ga Blower always on, heat works fine

The blower is always on even though it's set to 'Auto'. This is true even when the thermostat is set to 'Off'. The heat is working fine.

If I remove the door to the blower enclosure, hold the door switch down so the blower runs, and then bang of the circuit board enclosure- the blower will turn off. It stays on again next cycle.

I suspect the blower relay(s) of sticking

Could this be right? Can they be replaced or do I have to do the whole board?

Thanks

1) sounds like it ...

2) possibly, if you can solder, etc ..

Thanks. I guess I'll do the whole board.

Definately the whole board, too risky to repair them.

Oh and BTW, most carrier/bryant boards have a 90 second blower run after power up with a "call for heat" this is normal and may fall under the code 11(i think its 11) this is normal operation, unless it wont shut off after 90 seconds, or the thermostat isn't making R-W. I'd also make sure to pull off the G wire from the terminal board to make sure the thermostat isn't screwed up before I installed a board.

Had similar issue with lennox whisper heat furnace! It was the control brd as well and luckily I was able to fix blower issue by disconnecting wire from blower that went to cool terminal!!! Lennox is pretty proud of there parts I'm assuming due to the price of them! Anyways customer was happy and they didn't have cooling system anyways!

And didn't have to pay couple hundred bucks for a brd!!!

The only worry there is the board has control over shutting down the burner when the unit overheats from a fan problem. The BCC3 board can be ordered through REM now, and I think is cheeper than the one from Lennox. The other issue is G20's (whisper heat) have this affinity to crack the H.E. just at and above the first turn in the rear of the cells. We all use snake cameras now to verify the integrity of the G20 heat exchangers before sinking any parts money in them.

There putting new hvac system in come spring time, and there HE was aok I did check it! Also blower still worked for cool down after heat shut off but thanks for tip on brd that's cheaper!
