code 2 is defrost fault

likely reason is faulty defrost element , this can be checked at the controller at the back of the fridge

plug labeled defrost , brown wires , measure appox 160 or so ohms

if element is ok then i would check for a faulty fan

to force defrost press mode button down once and hold and then press temp down button twice

takes about 2 mins for defrost to activate , if you leave the fridge door open you will see the light dim when the relay kicks in

Thanks for the info and the manual.

I suspected a defrost fault as it has been freezing up. I have measured the defrost element and checked both fans are operating already.

I will try a manual defrost cycle and see if the element comes on. Perhaps the control unit has failed and is not switching on the element.
