jstorii Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 My model number is SHE44C02UC/22. The service manual your linded is for SHU43C05UC36, SHE* SHX* SHV* Will that service manual apply to my model also?thanks
Team Samurai Samurai Appliance Repair Man Posted July 3, 2012 Team Samurai Posted July 3, 2012 "SHE*" right in the title. I'd go with it.
jumptrout Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 The manual covers the SHE as the Samurai said. You just have to read all the notes and hints to apply it to some models including the SHE.What is wrong with yours?
jstorii Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Thanks. When I hit the on/off button, immediately a motor (drain pump motor?) is running.Diagnostic code read, C1From reading comments, I thought maybe either float or inlet valve.I took off kickplate, but wondering what to do next procedurally. I figured the service manual might be helpful to tell me steps. Thanks
jumptrout Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 When any dishwasher is turned on the first action is to drain any residual water left in the unit.Your C1 code is most likely a bad control board. If you remove the control facia and remove the control board you will most likely find a burned contact on the board. You might try re-soldering the burned contact. If that does not work then youe get this:http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Main-Control-Board/676960/1557799?modelNumber=SHE44C02UC%2022 1
jstorii Posted July 3, 2012 Author Posted July 3, 2012 Thank you very much for your input. I will give it a look!
McBlue Posted August 5, 2012 Posted August 5, 2012 Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the SHE44 range?I have a 6 year old one that is dead. No lights no sign of life.I determined that the main controller board was dead as there is power reaching it.Replaced the board and it ran for 15 minutes, the dishwasher emitted smoke and after a small "pop" sound, the board is dead again. The controller circuit board is still very clean. No sign that the smoke came from there. Does not even smell bad. I suspect a short in the heater or somewhere else.A wiring diagram and/or any clues would be greatly appreciated.many thanksMc Blue
