Just an old GE SxS, mechanical control and defrost timer - nothing special there. Stuck in defrost, not defrosting, bad control thermostat etc.

Follow-up. Call was from Maine snowbird. Arrived to their winter home after 2 year absence 4 days ago. Turned refer on, started cooling just fine. Made ice, then ice started melting, called me late yesterday, could not make call until this morning. Found unit running, temps 30 in freezer & 50 in fridge. Felt cabinet, was almost hot. Immediately pulled unit from wall. Condensor fan jammed with fridge insulation, condensor caked in dust fuzz. unpluged unit, Cleaned coil, cleared fan, cleaned fan blades. Plugged back in temps at back wall 29 & dropping. Picked up tools, made bill, just charged service call, one last back wall temp check 20 degrees.

Wupped that puppy. Will call customer in morning to see how full ice bucket is, love my job.
