I have a GE Dishwasher PDW8680N20SS  (my son's) that was not draining. I checked all the hoses and see no blockages. I replaced the discharge pump but now when I attempt to test it, there is only a high pitch squeal and none of the control panel lights come on. I think I replaced the pump connectors correctly and re-connected the power supply wires correctly.

Any idea what the noise is? I couldn't find a service manual or wiring diagram on the website for this dishwasher.

Thanks

Thanks for the manual link; it is the correct one. I attempted to get the dishwasher to enter "test mode" but it does not seem to respond to anything. None of the panel lights are on - the only thing I notice is a very high-pitched squeal coming from the control panel. Any idea what that is or what might be causing it?
