Wanted to be sure had right numbers before asking help

Had contractor in home doing drain/drywall repair. Idiot used my almost new vac to suck up both water & drywall dust.

I took it appart & cleaned it, waited a month to dry, reassembled. Runs , but agetator head does not turn. I did forget to check that reset button -possibly afuse? Been lazy haven't opened her up to check yet.

Local repair shop. Told me over phone that the brushroller/agitator would have been damaged by the water.

Replacement cost more than new vac. What's your oppinion?

Ha! After you guys provided spectacular help (& parts) last feb/mar, I resurected my frontload kenmore washer. Thank you all again. The control board is still humming along. I havent done thegasket yet thoug, my vinyl pool patch is working really well LOL.

Thanx for the link-worked pefect-

Found the motor in the agitator assembly.

Bad news: "we're sorry. That part is no longer available"

Any chance a fuse could be blown? Some where?

So I guess I'll tear it down check all the parts in the agitator head. If it is the motor. I'll just have to find a substitute motor. Any gueses? Dremmel? Electric hand wisk? Hair dryer? Pretty small motor.

Any chance anther manufacturer would cross polinate?

Your mention of panasnic.......

Googled direct drive panasonic and several fix sites said the sears direct drives are all panosonic.

Also found agitator assemby. $96. Says fits all panasonic & sears direct drives.

Could this be true?
