Howdy, CTG! I'm away from my desktop computer down here at the ASTI conference so I can't get you a manual right now. However, I am familiar with how to remove the top vent cover on this unit. If you look on the very top of the cabinets, you will see two or three Phillips screws that need to be removed. To remove the plastic that piece, slide slightly to the left and then pull out. This exposes the Phillips screw that you would remove to then undo and loosen the control panel.
