philcheck Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 THATS GOT TO BE IT....THE WORDING ON THE SHEET LEADS YOU TO BELIEVE THAT IT APPLIES ONLY TO "ALL BOTTOM FREEZER MODELS..WITH ENCODER MODELS WITH THE FOLLOWING SERIAL NUMBERS ETC ETC ETC" WHEN IN FACT ITS "ALL BOTTOM FREEZER MODELS AND ALL OTHER ENCODERS MODELS WITH THE FOLLOWING SERIAL NUMBER" UGH...DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!
Spannerwrench Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 (edited) There's only one instance which there needs to wires cut.If the refrigerator main board is mounted vertically (as shown below), AND there are wires in bothpin 1 and pin 2 of J1, Cut the wire in J1 pin 2. Note: When cutting the wire, leave enough wire to reconnect if necessary!Taken from this pointer.https://www.dropbox.com/s/m7s72q1o46d47ix/Main%20Board%20Replacement%20Pin2%20cutting%20jumper%20wire%20clipped%20Gss22%20gss25%20hss22%20hss25.pdf Edited July 26, 2013 by Spannerwrench
