Whippercrap Posted December 16, 2013 Posted December 16, 2013 Think my bearing in my transmission is going out in dire need of a service manual to figure out how to remove the drum and basket. Thanks.
Team Samurai Samurai Appliance Repair Man Posted December 16, 2013 Team Samurai Posted December 16, 2013 Almost certainly not the transmission. You're probably dealing with a bad mode shifter or a loose splutch bolt. Manuals linked below. If you need detailed repair help, please start a new topic in the Laundry Forum. Whippercrap Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 Drum is making a clicking nose when spinning at slow speeds. Almost sounds like it might be something caught between the drum and the basket but I couldn't find anything. It feels like the clicking is coming from the transmission case. I was thinking that it might be the splutch (hoping because it is cheaper an deasier to access). Any other thoughts? Thank you for your response.
Whippercrap Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 Awesome website you have here! Couldn't be more grateful. Turned out to be the splutch pulley bolt was loose and belt was hopping. Thank you all again! 1
