Budget Appliance Repair Posted June 29, 2014 Posted June 29, 2014 Old (Sept.1986) Roper Slide-in Down-draft electric rangeMod# 2496X0A - "A" is color code and not used in look upSer# 6S65585 Need a service manual, but for one this old, probably not going to find that - but would be nice. I need to know if anyone knows if access to the surface control/Inf Switches is possible without pulling this unit out/having to disconnect the downdraft blower to move it. It looks like from the parts diagrams the panel just above the oven door/below ERC and all Inf switches is removed for direct access to all of the control area.

Team Samurai Samurai Appliance Repair Man Posted June 30, 2014 Team Samurai Posted June 30, 2014 Come on guys, 45 views and no help???????? Most of those clicks were probably me un utter disbelief that you're working on a range this old! If I coulda found something for you, I woulda posted it. Even ServiceMatters doesn't have anything on this old dawg. Only other thing I found for it was an installation manual which covered nothing you need.
Budget Appliance Repair Posted June 30, 2014 Author Posted June 30, 2014 OK, thanks any way. Was pretty sure I wasn't going to get a service manual but was hoping someone here has worked on one of these and at least had an to the question of access to the surface control switches. I have to go out on it in about 1/2 hour and will find out when I'm there. Thanks again guys...........
