Dryer vent

Is it OK to vent a ground floor gas dryer into the basement below rather than go the extra distance to the wall and outside, which involves two 90s and is almost 20' in overall length?

This is really a health question. Dryer exhaust it filled with lint which contains human skin, mites, flecks of feces, inert fibers, pollen, dog hair, and pubic lice.

And, of course, water vapor. Lots and lots of water vapor. All that water vapor can promote mold growth. More information about molds in the home here:

But, it's really a personal preference kindofa thang.

You will also be venting the gas exhaust into the basement which will rise into the living area above, plus fill the basement with this exhaust.  You might wake up dead...:?

The danger I assume is carbon monoxide from the burnt gas?

Like sitting in your running auto in the garage with the doors closed..might not be as bad or fast, but...........
