 to enter manual defrost, unplug unit for at least 30 seconds, then turn thermostat to "off"... plug unit back in and defrost should begin.

 

 

"SHOULD", if the defrost t-stat is bad then it won't start the defrost.

 

RANT: and why the hell do they put the test plug in the freezer compartment where it gets buried in the ice, (whould be so much nicer if they put it in the the control area with the defrost timer or ADC board then you could get easy access to it to jump and/or test the defrost t-stat without having to remove all the ice around it first - on the side x sides they have the test plug in the control area why not the top mounts?).
