Frigidaire gas range GLGFZ386FC - door locked, digital display problems

We have a Frigidaire gas range (oven/stove), model GLGFZ386FC. It worked fine through the holidays. About a week ago I noticed when the oven was on for a length of time the electrical control panel above the stove went wonky. First the display got lighter in color, then it went out completely. When that happened, the oven then went off. After the oven cooled down the panel came back on. Seemed to work fine for a few days.

Two nights ago we were using the oven to cook dinner and the panel went out and the oven went off. We had had thunderstorms and our lights had blinked so we thought maybe that could be related. We flipped the fuse for the oven in the outside breaker box but that didn't fix anything. Eventually when the oven cooled down the panel came back on.

Yesterday as an experiment I decided to run a Speed Clean cycle to see if maybe some food spill was blocking a temperature sensor or something and it might burn off at a higher heat. That proved to be a dumb decision, as it worked okay for 45 minutes, then the panel went mostly out and the oven stayed locked - the panel did work enough to show an "L" on the center display (where it shows temperature), but that was it. The "door locked" light wasn't selected. However, the door remained locked.

We flipped the fuse several times, even leaving the fuse off for about half an hour, and the door still remained locked. One of the times we turned it on, the inside oven light came on for some reason. The next time we flipped it the light was off. Unfortunately this morning the oven is completely cool and the door is still locked.

Questions:

1. Is there a manual way to unlock the oven door?

2. What does the panel going out once the oven is on for awhile mean? Is a temperature sensor not working inside the oven or is the panel broken in some way?

3. Is this worth fixing given that several of the burners on the stove aren't working all that well either?

Well first as you can tell "NEVER run a self-clean,Motor in back of range behind that big panel careful sharp edges. Replace clock  316557206. Carefully remove old overlay with a plastic putty knife around the edges.

Thanks for placing the pic I don't know how that works, and luckily this overlays cost is not that bad but if it would have been a GE then ......... Save at GE's prices.

Thanks. So it's the clock panel display that is the problem? Seems to work okay at lower oven temps. Is it the higher heat that is causing a problem somehow? At least those parts aren't that expensive.

Flipped the fuse again today and this time the panel reset itself and the oven door unlocked! Yay! Maybe it had to cool all the way overnight?

Use the yellow APP button in the editor toolbar. Paste in the part number and it does the rest.
