The  AAV7000AWW  I'm working on won't agitate, but it does work through all other cycles. I have watched it run with the lid up and I saw it once move the agitator slightly and then stop. The plastic shafts that the transmission goes into on the agitator look to be in good shape. When watching the washer try to agitate with the agitator off, I can see that the transmission isn't moving at all, nor does it budge if I take a pair of pliers too it and try to move it manually.

My guess is that it's the transmission that needs to be replaced, but I was just wondering if this could just be a pulley issue that's locking up the transmission? Also, if it is the transmission, I can't find a video on how to replace it, so I would greatly appreciate it anyone could share one. Thank you for your continued help!

If the belt is turning during agitate then you need a new transmission Part number: AP4373431

Part number: AP4373431

I don't know of a video for transmission replacement but you could search Youtube.

The service manual has complete, illustrated teardown instructions
