Kitchenaid Mixer Date Codes and Revision Changes

Recommended Posts

Two questions: where does one source service manuals for modern Kitchenaid Stand mixers? For example, KP26M1XPM is not listed on ServiceMatters, other than a repair parts list.

Secondly, how do you make heads or tails of date codes and revision levels on these suckers? The model provided has no revision change number on the end. Can one be presumed based upon the date code? Serial prefix is W0 which would imply 2010 DOM, but I don't know how to translate that. Also, I can't find parts lists for anything prior to ECN 4. And yes, it seems to make a difference as they changed housings, gears, washer styles...

It seems unnecessarily difficult to get proper parts or info on these suckers.
