having an issue with my washer.  The error code 3E came up, and feels like the drum has dropped since I used to be able to turn by hand, and now takes some good effort.  When running, the drum does turn, but hear grinding.  Not sure which direction to start taking the unit apart to investigate.  Any advice would be welcome.

Bad Bearings? broker spider assembly?

Make sure the nut the holds the rotor to the stator is tight first

Replace the drum part# DC97-15478A $250.00 to $350.0

Rear Tub Part number DC97-15328L   $200 to $250.00

OK, so I've taken the drum apart and think I found the problem (sarcasm horn)

The center of the spider arm is completely gone.  This washer is only 3-4 years old.  Am I doomed to replace this every 3 years or is there something else that failed?  Is the one I am replacing it with any better (Aluminum, titanium, carbonite, neutronium) that this won't happen again?

Spider Arm  Spider Arm 2  Shaft

3 of the bolts holding the drum and spider arm in ended up turning off.  Thankfully they broke within the arm, so it was no issue getting the spider arm off the drum.  Does the spider arm come with 6 bolts, or come separate.  The motor appears entact and no signs of water/rust under the stator.

Thanks in advance for the help
