SHE43M05UC/50 Bosch Dishwasher Hums During Cycle; Never Washes

Recommended Posts

Been browsing through the blog and various topics and my Bosch is probably suffering from the bad solder joint issue.

However, after getting the plastic fascia off and examining the control module, I can't get the circuit board out of the plastic housing.  It seems to be one complete part now presumably because Bosch wants to sell the $260 control module instead of having owners DIY their own repairs.

Any secret to getting the circuit board out of the seemingly sealed plastic housing?

IF it just hums when it should be washing you need to focus on the wash pump motor.  It is most likely were the hum is coming from.  You don't even know if you have a heating problem yet because the wash motor has to run to create water pressure before the heater can turn on.

These motor pump impeller face seal will sometimes stick together and bind the wash motor so it can't start.

Need to get access to back side of motor and turn the fan blades to free or make sure motor is turning freely.   The other way to break it loose is with a 7MM socket and extension going in from sump into the water intake of wash motor.

I ran the diagnostic test and E1 came up.  I thought E1 was an indication that I should be checking the circuit board.
