Crosley CW6000W making a racket

This washer is making clanking and clicking sounds whenever the motor is running - agitate or spin. I slipped off the belt and the motor spins freely, the transmission pulls turns freely, and when I turn the pump by hand it rubs and makes a rubbing sound.  I also am able to see a ring of metal which appears to be corrugated, between the pulley and the body of the pump. It looks like it doesn't belong there, like maybe it slipped down from where it's supposed to be.

Seems pretty clear that I need to replace the water pump.  But, most parts websites are showing me two possible pumps for this washer. How can I tell which is the right one?

You need to look at the first 2 # of the serial #, That is the series #, so when you look on the parts look up it will show in this case a 10 or 16
on there older models they uses Rev letters on the model and serial tag

Now sometimes the # might be a 12 so you use the series 10 for that is for anything from 10-15, or if the serial # starts with 16 or higher use the series 16
At least that is what my parts dist told me

And yes I have change a lot of pump for the belt pulley moving down on that shaft

Looked up this pump at appliance parts pros.  They only show one pump.  Same pump for both series 1-18 and 19-up, with your model number.   If for whatever reason you don't want it or doesn't work, you can return it within the next 365 days too!

Thanks. Mine looks more like the one above - I definitely don't have a  big black baseplate. Of course, I bought my replacement on eBay for $20...It's an old washer and $20 is easier to swallow than $60.
