Why is my oven making banging noises after replacing element?

I recently replaced the bottom element of my Frigedaire oven, model# CFEF355FBB.  I now hear occasional "bangs" coming from the oven, both while it reheats and while baking, something I dint recall hearing ever before.  what could be causing this?

Metal expanding? Have you tried to pin point where the noise is coming from?

No, I haven't.  I assume it is coming from the bottom of the oven.  I'm just wondering why I never heard it until the element was replaced.

I have no idea here but...

Did you replace bake or broil element?

broil element has a couple supports that hold it in place make sure they are secured properly.

The bake element has a couple "feet" for lack of a better term, make sure they are both secure.

Good luck
