Whirlpool washer WTW57ESVW1

Washer stopped mid cycle.  Wife emptied wet clothes.....:boid:  I tried getting it to start a cycle after an overnight rest, and nothing. Pulled the cabinet, jumpered the lid switch, started filling.  Grabbed my DMM, lid switch passed continuity test, and mechanically is functioning. :kopkrab:  I'm getting ready to test the auto load sensing switch next. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

check the cold water line. If its stopping at the rinse cycle it could be the cold inlet valve as they rinse with cold water.

When you jump the lid switch to start spinning?

When I turned the timer to start a wash cycle, or fill, initially, it wouldn't even start filling. So, I pulled the cabinet, jumpered the lid switch, and it began filling. I haven't made an effort to test the load sensing/temperature switch yet.

Definitely no loose screws on the left side hinge. Me? I might have a couple loose screws. :banghead: LMAO

What ever tests you do are not gonna tell you anything because the machine is now functioning, put it back together and wait for it to happen again

the ATC switch on these is notorious for intermittent symptoms, especially if it is the version of the switch with the level pressure tube attachment, wouldn't hurt to have one on hand, as it is likely to fail during the life of this, otherwise awesome, direct drive washer
