HEY GUYS, WORKING ON A G.E MONOGRAM AND THE PROBLEM I HAVING IS THE FILL TUBE FOR THE ICE MAKER KEEPS FREEZING UP, AND I HAVE NO WIRING DIAGRAM FOR THIS UNIT. ANY WAY I REPLACED THE FILL TUBE HEATER BECAUSE THAT WAS BURNED INTO TWO SO WAS BAD FOR SURE AND I REPLACED THE MAIN CONTROL FOR ANOTHER REASON WITH THE FAN NOT WORKING PROPERLY. SO I HAVE A NEW FILL TUBE HEATER AND MAIN CONTROL BOARD, MY FILL TUBE LAST ABOUT 1 WEEK TO 2 WEEKS AND THEN FREEZES UP AGAIN,

DOES THE VOLTAGE FOR THE FILL TUBE HEATER COME OFF THE MAIN BOARD AND WHAT VOLTAGE IS IT? AND IS THE VOLTAGE ALWAY PRESENT THE WHOLE TIME THE UNIT IS ON I DID CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE UNIT AFTER I TURNED THE UNIT ON AND I HAD NO VOLTAGE AC OR DC.

typically i change the water valve if i have an frozen up fill tube to an icemaker, that takes care of it over 95% of the time.

one time i had a Samsung that even with a new valve, it still froze up, it had a heater that had 12volts dc, checked it was good. i added a 2nd heater to that one and that fixed the issue. the heater was only heating one part of the tube.

1.

Check the following before ordering kit:

• • • •

Tubing kinks
Clogged filter or water valve
Loose tubing connections
If consumer has low water pressure or other

filtration systems, remove the SmartWaterTM filter and install bypass cap permanently.

2. In some units the wrap-type wire heater does not provide enough heat to melt accumulating ice. Replace wire heater with a foil type heater in all BOTTOM-FREEZER and SXS DISPENSER MODELS.

3. If water leaks between the grommet and fill tube, and the grommet does not seal tightly around the tube, the grommet must be replaced.
NOTE: ACCESS TO BACK OF REFRIGERATOR IS REQUIRED FOR THIS REPAIR.
