LA5000 washer does nothing when turned on the Spin Cycle (can't even hear it try to do something). I have a heck of a time with the old Maytag's and always seem to misdiagnose. The lid switch appears to work mechanically, and the fuse is still fine and works electrically. Since it doesn't do anything at all when I turn on the spin cycle, I'm thinking it's the motor, but every time I think that, it's the timer - or vice versa. Not sure how to diagnose either properly (and there's no tech sheet). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

The motor may not look like this, but the reasoning would be sound even on the old 'battleship' gray GE motors some of these babies have...
