Ice Forming Under Freezer Drawer in a Samsung RF4287HARS French Door Refrigerator

I had a related problem with my large Frigidaire freezer.  The drain would freeze and backup the defrost water.  Solved for at least four years by wrapping a #10 solid copper wire around the defrost heating element then running it down the drip tube... worked like a charm.

I have the same problem on my Samsung RF260BEAEWW French door bottom freezer fridge. But my setup is significantly different from what everybody else on this thread has been describing. The fridge has an ice cube maker that is built in to the freezer drawer compartment. But it has never been connected to a water supply. I have deactivated the ice maker feature via the related button that Samsung positions with all the other settings buttons on the top inside door frame. So the theories about the ice buildup being due to a black rubber stopper not being positioned properly to stop a water leak in the ice cube compartment wouldn't apply to me (nor perhaps to several others here). The fridge is six years old and has had ice buildup in the bottom of the freezer drawer compartment for the past 3 years or so. I've been removing it manually every couple months ever since then. I have tried to take off the back of the fridge but stopped when it seemed to be sealed. Perhaps I should try again with the 'remove the two screws and snap the back off' approach.

650 Matchless, the moisture buildup does not usually come from the ice maker.  Rather water is from the defrosting process which for a short time warms the freezer coils to remove moisture which causes frost, thus Frost Free.  The drain is below the cooling coils somewhere usually going down into the pan under the compressor.

We moved to a house with an RF4287HARS that would have a puddle of water in front of the freezer every few days. There was a big chunk of ice below the freezer drawer. I took the freezer drawers out, including the front door of the freezer so I could trace where the puddles and ice were coming from. Behind the white cover in the back of the freezer, there was ice build up in the bottom, below the radiator looking thing. I used a heat gun to melt it and I noticed a drain hole in the center, which obviously wasn't draining anything because of the ice. I had to figure out why it wouldn't drain during the freezer's defrost cycle.

I took the back panel off and noticed two drain pipe looking things. Both have a nozzle at the top (I assume to prevent the evaporating pan at the bottom from getting too much water at the same time). The one on the left (facing the back of the fridge) let out some water when I pulled the nozzle off. I found my problem.

I cleaned the nozzle, poured some warm water in from the freezer side, and removed all the ice build up in the bottom and back of the freezer. I am 99.9% sure this will solve my puddle problem, but I will post here again if not.

My RF4267hars was icing up under the freezer drawer for a couple of years. Had to clear the ice every 2 months. The fix was to take the back panel off and remove the two rubber tubes going into the defrost pans. One for the fridge and one for the freezer. They were plugged up with gunk and water causing defrost water to back up into the freezer compartment. The tubes have an insert piece that has a tiny slit in it to prevent too much water draining out at once. It very easily clogs up. So remove and thoroughly clean these tubes and inserts. There's a video on this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0MfViKalAg&t=601s

I have  not had the problem  with ice buildup for over 2 months now. Unfortunately I may have disturbed something down there as my icemaker stopped working!
