I have a GE wbvh5300k0ww washing machine that will not fill. I have put it into diag. mode and got error 22 & 23 indicating a fill valve problem. I changed the valve and still no fill. All of the test cycles check out except the pressure test and the hot and cold valve test. The pressure test stays on E. Both the hot and cold test when I press the start button to start test the washer beeps twice screen stays on t08 or 09. However, if I run the EOL test the washer will fill. Could this be a bad control board or is there something else it might be? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Replace the water level pressure sensor- E22 is no fill error, E23 is an overfill error. If you get these with the machine empty of water, then replace the sensor :Part number: WH12X10522

Thanks I will try that. But, would that prevent the water valve test from functioning?

Not sure of the answer to that question, but in general a machine will not want to fill when there is a detected failure of the device that prevents flooding of the house (and neighborhood).

I thought this meant it DOES fill under test conditions, just not when attempting to run a wash cycle...

When I run a fill valve test Hot or Cold the washer beeps twice and thats it. The EOL test however will fill and drain. The pressure test just stays on E. A normal cycle will just stall. That is why Im thinking it the control board. But, before I spend the money for a new one I wanted a second opinion.

Intermittent problems are the most difficult.:excl:
