Hi -

New here and learning a lot. So I took my family for a 3 day staycation and when we got home, the fridge was not working... I then scoured online and found several things that I did check... For one, when I took the back panel off, the compressor was warm to the touch but was not engage (powered)... I unplugged the fridge, and first checked if the capacitor and start relay was ok... Turns out that the start relay was burnt but the capacitor seems to be holding some charge when tested using a DMM...

However, one thing that I am not sure of is that none of the fans seems to be running when I plug the fridge to power... I am not sure if this was suppose to be the case since the start relay is burnt... So the question is, should the fridge fan (evap and condenser fan) still run even if the compressor is not being powered? Is it also likely that my main board needs to be replaced? I have yet to test the board and the fan themselves but will try to do so after this posting...

Thanks for the response.

Evap fan checked out when I hard wired a 9v battery to the J2 connector as posted in the YouTube video... however, my J@ does not have a pink connector for the condenser fan, thus I was  not able to check it... I did however, when ahead and checked for resistance and it looked fine... I just don't know how to actually hard wire it t get it to run...

Now I will try to check for the main board...
