Water leaking Whirlpool Washer LSQ9010LG0

Hi I have water leaking from my Whirlpool Washer and I'm not able to figure out where its coming from. Anyone with knownledge of this issue would be helpful. I've checked the tub seal and it appears to be dry. Likewise The Drain Pump and hoses are all dry as well. The only place I can find any wetness is coming from is where the gear box attaches to the drive. I'm assuming this drive box has oil in it so the wetness I've found could be gear oil because its kind of sticky. That said I have no idea where the water is coming from. I can't say when the waters coming out as I haven't sit and watch the machine go through a complete cycle.

This is one of whirlpools best washers so don't be quick to get rid of it. Is the leak from the from center of the washer? If so, look at the drain pump when it spins(running).

Thank You Northeast Appliance Your not the first person to tell me that. I had a service tech who came ot fix the dryer in a house I use to rent and saw my washer and dryer in teh garage not being used the very same thing. He tried his best to buy them off me....LOL Anyway I'm   Not sure where the waters coming from. As I sated I can't find any wetness anywhere under the machine except for a sticky residue coming from the seal or bearing between the drive and gear box. Do you know how to remove the cover or shell of this machine ? Maybe that will give me more access and allow me ot see where the water is coming from.

This should help. Bypass the lid switch and run it. Then you should be able to see the leak.

If someone could please give me the part nuber for the oil seal on the gearbox where it connects to the motor I'd like to replace it while I'm in here since its leaking. OH and how do I check to see how much oil is left in the gearbox and is there a fill plug and what weight oil do I use ?
