Hi.  I recently changed out the Motherboard on my side by side GE refrigerator/freezer as the evap was frozen over.  At same time I changed the thermister.  I had determined the defroster and the defrost thermostat were good.  All has been good except now I see the temp is fluctuating a bit.  Just tonight the freezer temp was going above 40 degrees. I could hear the condenser fan running as well as the compressor so I was thinking the evap fan was bad.  Then all of a sudden I see the evap fan is running.  Is it possible I caught it during a defrost cycle.  What will temp of the box go up to?  Is it common that the compressor would run during this cycle?

Thanks,

Chris
