Is the condenser coil nice and clean? Does this machine have an Ice Maker in the fridge compartment at the upper left?

Posted

The condenser coil is clean, and yes it has an ice maker in the fridge compartment in the upper left

Is the ice maker working? There is a tech bulletin about the ice fan drawing too much cold air into the refrigerator

CUSTOMER CONCERN: Refrigerator compartment temperature too cold.

CAUSE: Ice maker is not connected to water and the ice maker on/off switch is in the on position. Even though no water is supplied, the Ice maker continues to try to make ice which causes the Ice compartment temperature to remain at 15° F (-10° C). Over a long period of time combined with minimal entry into the refrigerator compartment, temperatures may gradually drop below the set temperature in the refrigerator compartment.

CORRECTION: Refrigerator Compartment Too Cold Shut off the ice maker on/off switch or connect ice maker to a water supply.

What is the tech bulletin remedy. My ice maker is on and using water. Is there a way to manipulate the time on for the fan?

I would turn the icemaker function to "off" for 72 hours and see if the temps come back into normal range, the remedy is stated as 'shut-off ice maker and connect it to water'- since yours is connected the only thing left to test the theory is to turn off the icemaker unit...

Its been almost 72 hours and the temps have been on the increase. When I started the ff temp was 26.2 F now it is at 33.1F. Any ideas on correcting this? Is it the ice maker or the computer?

Check to see if your icemaker is still on despite turning it off.  Sevice test 192 will show the state of the icemaker as seen by the board.

Installed W10295078, and turned on the icemaker yesterday. Eight hours later temp dropped from 36F to 31F. At my wits end with this problem. <_<

Verify air return ports are clear,.. What's your freezer temp?

I had one with same issue , which I had to replace ice maker. Double check your model # cause ice maker changes # based on last 2 digits.

Control brd uses y/b wire at ice maker to determine cycle times of ice maker.  How long does it take get a full bin of ice.

How does one know if the numbers can tell you if it is an upgraded part. I cannot give an exact time but i do know it takes longer than before.
