Troubleshooting Thermador gcv36g gas cooking top. When front burners are turned on, spark igniters repeatedly fire, sometimes five, sometimes ten, sometimes thirty times at all four burners. Eventually they'll stop, usually with adjustment of the burner control. All burners ignite just fine. Does this sound like a spark module problem or a park ignition switch problem?

This looks to be a traditional spark emitter (not a re-ignition module), so you are going to find the problem within one of the front spark switches mounted on the burner valve stem. I cannot find replacements for these... #00414568.   Matching up aftermarket spark switches is a really tough proposition most of the time, you may want to move the least used burner's switch to the location of the mis-firing switch and stop there! The orientation of the switch mount and the location where it sparks along it's radius of turn is what is important... it is these properties that make substituting the switches a nightmare.
