Hi, newly here. My refrigerator, model #PDS22SBRARSS, is presently at 65 degrees, and the freezer is at -7. The fan is working. What should be my first and subsequent steps? Thanks.

Single evap system with good freezer temps and evap fan running means an air flow problem in the FF compartment (assuming gaskets are making a good seal). Problem comes down to three components: broken damper assembly, computer not sending voltage to the damper motor, FF thermistor out of spec. Of the three, the thermistor is most likely, least expensive, and easiest to test.  Part number: WR55X10025

Part number: WR55X10025

Measure FF thermistor resistance at the J1 connector on the computer, pins 1 to 5 with the J1 harness disconnected. At a FF compartment temperature of 65F, you should read about 6.5 K-ohms (assuming your compartment temperature measurement is accurate). If it's much higher than that, then the thermistor is reporting a colder-than-actual temperature to the computer and the computer is keeping the damper closed based on this information.

+1  Definitely an air diffuser/baffle problem. The fun part is not diagnosing the problem.......that's the easy part........LOL

The most adventurous and fun part about a baffle problem is actually fixing it......on a GE....and some others....

That's kind of an inside joke.....but most/all techs know what I'm talking about.......

It's fun......it's not just a job........it's an adventure..........

......and call backs..........sunshine and lollipops.......

Any air flow out of supply vents in fresh food section  - Frost build up in freezer rear cover

A defective defrost sensor ( same as above )will give you same symptoms

One other thing to check is to make sure the light in the ff section shuts off when the door is closed. If not you have a bad door switch.
