I have a Maytag MFD2561HES the Temp Alarm is flashing and the Temp. is flashing alternating 50 / 126 what does this mean.

It means the unit has likely stopped cooling. 

Do you hear a fan running from the back of the unit near the floor?

Do you hear a fan running inside the freezer?

Thank you so much for your help

After some interrogating my 2 still at home young adults.

Seems one of them didn't shut the door all the way.

But in their defense it seems if you shut one side too hard the other comes ajar.

They are going to be more careful and I can relax now.

Ah......it's the simple things in life.....such as......make sure it's plugged in....and has power going to it(on all appliances)........AND, if there's a problem with a refrigerator......also make sure the doors are closed.......
