I opened up the range top to my oven and now I can't get it to close all the way.  Any suggestions for this model?

I believe there could be "prop-up" rods on each side. Make sure they aren't getting in the way when you lower top.

the rods seem to be clearing ok; didn't know if it was a problem that has been seen before. I couldn't find any posts on it though.

There are mounting pins in the back on both sides. 

When you removed it you took left side out first. 

Put right side pin in first then engage left side pin. Part 118 on diagram I believe.
