Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDS02SRBL4 door help please

Recommended Posts

My daughter was 4 when she fell on the dishwasher door. The dishwasher functions perfectly fine except for the fact that I need a chair to be shoved up against the door to keep it latched. The door doesn't fall, it hangs at 90 degrees, the racks slide fine. No leaks, no issues with cleaning. She fell on the middle of the door so I don't think anything happened to the latch but who knows.

I would love to be able to fix this. I have successfully fixed the computer in my car, my washer, my dryer, so I'm hoping I can manage to fix this. I was able to fix my appliances by doing a search on the forums of this site.

I can take pictures of things if needed.

The latch is all that holds the door closed. I would pull the unit out a little and inspect the hinges and springs on the sides, then pull the door apart and inspect the latch.
