Bosch Dishwasher SHP65T56UC/01 No Power

Recommended Posts

I have been working on a Bosch Dishwasher Model # SHP65T56Uc/01 Serial# FD940800017. It is acting like it has no power to it. When you press the on/Off button it does nothing no lights, no display, machine does nothing at all. I check power coming in and have 120V. I do not have a tech. sheet on this machine. Usually when I see this on any machine the controls are the issue. However, I replaced both the main control board and the Control touch Panel and I still have nothing. The machine is just dead. I do not work on very many Bosch Dishwashers. Can anyone help me out on this? I checked for broken wires and didn't see any.

I would make sure the door is fully closed and the latch is lined up, the machine will not respond if it "thinks" the door is open.

If the dishwasher won’t start when the door has been securely closed, check the door latch with a magnet. Hold the magnet over the Hall Effect sensor (located just left of the left screw) – if the dishwasher starts, the sensor didn’t sense the door latch magnet.

This clip from the manual may apply as well...

 To reset the control :

1. With the door closed and the dishwasher turned on, press and hold the Start button for ~ five (5) seconds -- the display should show "01" or "00". Press the On/off button (turning the dishwasher off) and the control should be reset.

2. If step one (above) didn’t work, remove the toe kick and disconnect the drain pump harness from the drain pump. Make sure the connector isn’t touching anything – tape the connector if necessary. With the door closed, press the On/off button to turn the dishwasher on. You should hear the control turn on and control relays click on and off. Wait about 30 seconds with the power on, then press the On/off button to turn the dishwasher off. With the power off, reconnect the drain pump harness and reinstall the toe kick. With the door closed, press the On/off button to turn the dishwasher on. The control should be reset.

Make sure you do all of you voltage checks between l1 and neutral. Start at connection under machine then follow it up to the power button, then to the control board. Even if the door switch is broken you should still have lights. If you have 120v at control, a good neutral,  and new control and touchpad you should have lights. Check voltage on both side of the power button to neutral to rule out the switch failing under load.

I have this same model but having some different issues.

“I have a Bosch Stainless Steel Dishwasher that keeps stopping about 3 mins into the cycle. What it is doing, from what I can tell, is after it fills up it will run for a few seconds then it will "overflow" and the overflow tube will send water down to the "flood switch" at the bottom and cause it to stop. I've checked the sump for debris and didn't find anything. I have tilted it back at a 45 degree angle but that only cleared the water. So I'm wondering what else to look at.”
