LG WM2010CW Front Load Washer issues

Recommended Posts

The washer was smelling hot after it ran so I took a look and saw some strips of rubber inside the door boot.  So I assumed the issue was the boot getting warn out.  I ordered a new boot.  It came in and I removed the old boot.  No holes in it or anything.  But as I spin the drum around, the distance between the drum and the plastic tub changes A LOT as I spin it.  Wide gap on top then wide gap on bottom...  I'm guessing the issue was that the door boot was rubbing on one side with every revolution of the drum.  What is the actual issue of my washing machine?  Note that both springs are connected and look pristine.  Thanks - Eric

What does it sound like when the tub spins?

Posted

Sounds like the tub support is broken

If the inner tub does not spin concentric with the outter tub then the shaft on the back of the inner tub is damaged. Time to shop for a new washer.
