We are in need of a manual for a LG refrigerator LFX25991ST/02. I tried the search and could not find an exact match.

That's already in the downloads section. Search the Downloads section using the term "LFX25991*" and you'll find it.

 Before posting I did try searching the files only using the the complete model number and when I found no results I then started dropping characters and adding the * wildcard at the end. When I had LFX25991* it did bring up a service bulletin but no service manual. As I dropped more characters it did bring up service manuals but not for my specific model. Oh well maybe next time.

My apologies, you are correct- that search brings up a bulletin, not a service manual. Let me see what I can find.
