Hi.

I have a Samsung RSA1UHPE here in Sweden.

It stopped colling the other day.

From information that I collected so far it is an inverter comp model. Fan are rotating, no errors seen or reported, I think I can hear the compressor humming, but it is very quiet. The that is blown into the freezer if just room temperature air - not cold. I've measured the 3-pins on the compressor (EU4A5Q-L2X); they all report 10ohm. The inverter PCB is supplying ~150 V on all three leads. The main and inverter PCB are mounted on the top of the fridge, there is no starter capacitor, IMO (hence conclusion that it is inverter comp).

I can not find any service manual for this model, the closest one that I found, is USA model RF267*. I can say that the test mode and diagnostic function behaves just the same on mine.

Does anyone know a better equivalent?

User manual is poor:

Here is circuit from the back:

Thanks in advance!

Unit is a R600 - Propane

If unit has lost its charge - unit will not cool

R600 units Unrepairable in US at this time

Posted

Thats what I was affraid of. I've been doing lots of circuit checks in last two days and all adds up.

Can one verify the amount of propane in system somehow?

Posted

Unit requires .08 kg

all info is on 1st pic you posted

Posted

Right, I meant the amount as of now. To check if there is a leak.

I can measure pwm of 400, 322, 200 Hz at orange (rpm) with FF1, FF2, FF3 forced modes. The current draw on AC mains is always the same; 0.29 A.

This seems way too low. Comp is not drawing enough?!?

For Fd forced mode current draw is 1.3A.

You would need guages and access to the sealed system. If it went warm in a sudden manner, it likely "blew" the entire charge and has replaced that with oxygen, which means contamination... This unit is a goner, even in Sweden.

Most things with R-600 in them in the US are "throw-away" units with low repairability

OK,

I can hear some sound of liquid flow,  could this be the r600a flowing? Or is thos the sign of contamimation?

Posted

This is the sound of the waterfall in my freezer

how bad is it?

Posted

if it is R-600 flowing, it is not evaporating... but yeah it is the gurgling of a open system. TOAST, my friend.
