Dishwasher MDB7750AWS Only heavy wash cycle works

Unit turns on and washes however only the heavy cycle button works and wash and dry button all other cycle buttons and options dead. Can this be fixed without replacing entire control panel. I believe it is a systemic problem with these units.

Inspect the ribbon cable that connects the control panel to the main board, if there is a brownish stain in among the traces ( it is usually close to the base of the ribbon connector)- it is "silver migration" and you have to replace the panel...
