The schematic shows both of these. Here's a better quality that you can zoom in on for details: 

Locate the defrost heater and trace out its power supply circuit. One side is hard wired to Neutral and the board switches Line to it to complete the circuit. You can simulate this by jumping Line to the other side of the defrost heater circuit at the board. Can you identify where to place your jumper wire? (I'll ask others to refrain from answering.)

The schematic also shows where to test the resistance of the heater circuit, though this is a poor choice of a test. Ohm's testing in general should be avoided when practical-- we've discussed the reasons for this frequently at Office Hours. Live testing is always preferable. What live test(s) would you do to confirm the defrost circuit is operating within spec?
