On washer models dating from 2009 to 2012 electronic washers having spin up speed issues.

All of these units have out of balance filters programed into the software.   Some motors had two filters, and we have seen where the filter would not be deactivated after the second time. What this means is when an out of balance issue occurs, the unit will spin at a low speed, approximately 155 rpm. The control will then compensate for the time and add that back onto the cycle. Depending on the time it does this could be anywhere from 3-8 minutes. With that being said, we have also seen where the tub cavities create a drag on the shaft assembly tricking the control to think it has an out of balance issue.

REPAIR:

Adding of time to the cycle is normal. Run the unit in service mode spin test for 20-25 minutes to break in the tub with the shaft. Mainly on newer units but to try it on older units as well. If that does not help, one of 2 things will need to be done.

  1. Replace the control. It may be that the software is stuck in the filtered spin speed.
  2. Replace the tub assembly. It could be that the shaft cavity in the tub is too snug putting a drag on the shaft assembly.

i noticed one of the 4 straps is broken would this be the cause, and if i replaced it would that solve the issue?

i got the same result with a new control

ran it this morning runs fine after wash cycle it moves over to rinse does not fill completely with water spins then moves back to wash instead of moving to spin.

what i do after this is to manually put it on drain and spin to finish the wash the machine does spin

there is some back and forth movement on the drive pulley
