Washing machine will fill and spin but will not agitate.  All sounds of the washing machine appear normal, i.e no bangs or other and all the sounds that I normally hear are there.  Thanks for any help.

When it is full of water, does it sound like the motor is running, but there is NO movement from the agitator, or are you meaning that the top half of the agitator isn't "ratcheting" in a circular motion?

If the agitator isn't moving AT ALL you may have a broken agitator rack, actuator, or shaft assembly  Part number: WP8546456

in the transmission ( very fixable), but if only top half isnt moving you need the kit Abaeseman listed.
