LG LMXS30776S/00 Door Gasket Confusion

Recommended Posts

I have three "part numbers" for door gaskets for an LG refrigerator (233a, 233b, and 233c from parts diagram), however, I am having a hard time trying to find which part numbers these correspond to in laymen's' terms. I need dark gray gaskets, not light gray.  And I am having next to no luck being able to resolve this.

Can anyone help, and guarantee that the part number that they provide is for dark gray gaskets and not light gray?

That model # isn't coming up on Repairclinic...

Generally one will be for the left FF door and one for the right FF door (fresh food). The third will be for the freezer if it is a bottom mount...

My tip would be: stop relying on the internet, call a parts store near you and they will sort out the parts list and tell you what your options are, but generally, if the parts list came with your unit the parts will be a match for what you have.

Well, I am researching this part for a customer.  We have ordered the parts three times from LG and they have come in light gray every time.

By "we" I mean the service provider.

I work the claims end of the repair.

Those are not part numbers,  (233a, 233b, 233c) ...  they are exploded view part locations...

The model number you gave does not come up on any part supply sites...

Is this thing on?

Per Encompass:

It's a legit model #

you might have to take the /00 off the end for it to come up

I realize that those are not the actual part numbers, that is why they are in quotations in the first submission and why I am asking for help locating the ACTUAL part numbers.

When I cross reference the model number to that part number on the Appliance Compatibility Tool, it says it does not fit that model #.  See what I am running into here?! Suuuuper frustrating.  This is happening on every site I go to research this on.  I am not really sure what else I can do to guarantee that I am ordering the correct part when I find one that seems like it might be accurate. I've looked on Sears, RepairClinic, Encompass, Marcone and PartStore.  I mean, if LG can't even figure it out I feel kinda lost on this one.

As a reference the part numbers that LG provided were ADX73450629 and ADX73450639--both came in light gray

OK, I just got off the phone with a contact at LG and they advised that the parts dept has replaced the dark gray gaskets with all light gray gaskets made in a more durable material; so that is why we keep getting light gray parts sent to us.  The resolution is to order all new gaskets in the lighter color to avoid a mismatch. (Customer's preference)
